How this worked for me Running iPod Touch 1Gen v2.0.1 that is jailbroken I updated my device to v2.1 via iTunes 8.0 (and lost my 3rd party apps....as expected) When iTunes was done updating my Touch I did the following: 1. Located the restore file for this firmware version (iPod1,1_2.1_5F137_Restore.ipsw). It was located, by default, in myname/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates) 2. Copied the file to a flash drive (to move it over to my PC) 3. Copied the file from my Flash drive to the folder "QuickPwnRC3.Morphey.Version\Data\PwnmetheusBundles\iPod1,1_2.1_5F137.bundle" so that it is with the file Info.plist that is already in there I then ran the utility and followed the directions exactly...When asked to browse to the .ipsw file I pointed to the file I just copied to the folder as shown in step 3. I then continued to follow the directions exactly...btw when asked to hold the button down for 30 seconds the instructions changed (for me) when there were about 21 seconds left....I let go of the button then anyway and let the utility do its thing. Back when I was asked I checked the boxes for "Installer" and "Cydia" but left the logo box unchecked (I wanted to get the apple logo back). This all worked for me. Bottom line...Update your jailbroken touch to fw v2.1 via iTunes use the .ipsw restore file for version 2.1 in the proper folder in this utility and follow directions
